After the Green Waterfront Yongding River Station and the Millennium Ancient Temple Tanzhe Temple Station, the 5th Beijing International Mountain Hiking Conference welcomed its final leg at Zhaitang Station this month. From September 20 to 21, 15,000 hiking enthusiasts from nearly 40 countries and regions gathered in Zhaitang Town, Mentougou District, trekking through spectacular peaks and beautiful waters.
The five routes at Zhaitang Station are all classic mountain hiking trails that showcase natural landscapes and cultural heritage, including the 100-kilometer Extreme Challenge Route, the 30-kilometer Primitive Ecology Hiking Route, and the 20-kilometer Millennium Ancient Temple Hiking Route held on September 20, as well as the 20-kilometer Reservoir Scenery Hiking Route and the 10-kilometer Red Tourism Hiking Route on September 21. This event currently offers the most diverse range of hiking routes in China. In the end, Yun Yanqiao and Shan Ying won the men's and women's championships with times of 6 hours, 44 minutes, 22 seconds and 9 hours, 2 minutes, 21 seconds respectively. The organizing committee awarded all finishers a completion certificate and a commemorative medal.
