On the morning of September 22, 2014, the opening ceremony of the first "Hotel Reserve Cadre Class" under the Dream China Scholarship Project was officially held at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology. The "Hotel Reserve Cadre Class" of the Dream China Scholarship Project was jointly launched by the Zhixian International Hotel Management College, faculty from Zhejiang Tourism Vocational College, and Zhejiang University of Science and Technology. Qiao Yi, Executive Dean of Zhixian International Hotel Management College, Teacher Luo Qin from the college’s Curriculum Development Center, and scholarship students were all present at the ceremony. Ding Xiaoyu, Director of the Admissions Office for the Dream China Scholarship Project, presided over the event.
At the start of the opening ceremony, Director Ding, on behalf of the Dream China Scholarship Project, Zhixian International Hotel Management College, and Zhejiang Tourism Vocational College, expressed a warm welcome to the new scholarship students. He stated that the Dream China Scholarship Project is a public welfare initiative aimed at cultivating well-rounded hotel management professionals with both practical management skills and higher education qualifications, fully sponsoring outstanding young individuals aspiring to elevate the hotel industry. It is reported that the students of this year’s "Hotel Reserve Cadre Class" under the Dream China Scholarship Project were carefully selected, with an application-to-admission ratio of 100:1.
