On September 19, 2014, during the third stage of the “The Road of Discovery – Exploring Getu: Global EMBA Jungle Challenge,” there appeared such a special participant. Standing at just over 1.7 meters tall, with a slightly plump build, mud up to his knees and sweat soaking his clothes, he still wore a big smile on his face. He is Fan Chengrong, Deputy Secretary of the Ziyun County Committee of the Communist Party of China and also the overall commander of this “The Road of Discovery – Exploring Getu: Global EMBA Jungle Challenge.” After going through a challenging and rugged race filled with wind and rain, Secretary Fan shared his thoughts with everyone.

Regarding his experience in this competition, Secretary Fan Chengrong shared with reporters: “Along the way, I saw the beautiful Getu River and the well-preserved primeval forests. Standing on the steep, scenic peaks of Ziyun moved me deeply, because the scenery here is truly unparalleled. Today, I’m not here to compete—I’m here to enjoy the race. Today, I overtook many people, not in terms of footsteps but in passion. I even surpassed some of the local Ziyun people’s love for Ziyun.”
Finally, Secretary Fan Chengrong stated that the development of Ziyun County still requires long-term planning, and seizing every opportunity for growth is key. The hosting of this challenge is an exemplary initiative, and more possibilities need to be introduced in the future.
