It is reported that Langzhong Ancient City, one of the nine 5A-level scenic spots in Sichuan, is ready to welcome National Day tourists. During this period, in addition to retaining traditional programs such as Zhang Fei’s city patrol and folk wedding ceremonies, a cultural appreciation tour themed “Discover the Beauty of China” will be grandly launched on October 1st.

The “Discover the Beauty of China” Langzhong Traditional Culture Appreciation Tour is jointly initiated by the Chinese Traditional Culture Research Association, Zhonghua Book Company, the Langzhong Feng Shui Museum, and Beijing Xinzhili Culture. Zhang Jijun, director of the Langzhong Feng Shui Museum, stated that the word “行 (xíng),” meaning “to walk” or “to experience,” in “Discover the Beauty of China” not only reflects the organizers’ commitment to this public welfare initiative but also embodies the desire to allow tourists to appreciate and understand traditional Chinese culture through their travels.
How can a journey seen and walked with one’s eyes and feet become a soul-stirring experience? The event organizers from Beijing Xinzhili Culture advocate adopting a fresh approach to empower travelers, enabling them to perceive the essence of traditional culture up close through “one sentence + one action.” The event aims to inspire all participants to feel, move, and act — these three “actions” run throughout the entire experience, thereby responding to and practicing President Xi’s advocacy for traditional Chinese culture and contributing to the preservation of Langzhong’s cultural heritage.
The event’s theme unfolds along the threads of “stillness, movement, and interaction.” Static visual displays present President Xi’s words and actions regarding traditional culture, as well as the traditional understanding of “country, family, and individual” through informational panels. The “movement” segment features a mobile promotional team, with a new set of classical teaching boards on ancient philosophies of life displayed each day. The “interactive display” involves live situational reenactments of traditional Chinese relationships with parents, children, and friends, brought to life through vivid, interactive storytelling and dialogue.
Ji Yifan, an 80s-born volunteer for “Discover the Beauty of China,” said she is having the time of her life, because the traditional culture appreciation tour is a soul-searching journey that goes beyond ordinary tourism. This journey also allows everyone to feel how the essence of Chinese culture, as the genetic code of the Chinese nation, is deeply embedded in the blood of every Chinese person.
