As a key information platform at the Nanjing·Asia Bicycle Exhibition, the 2013 China Sports Bicycle Industry Report launch and the 2015 Asia Bicycle Exhibition press conference were held as scheduled on October 9 at the Nanjing International Expo Center. Attending the event were Yin Wen, Director of the Convention and Exhibition Office of the Nanjing Municipal People's Government and President of the Nanjing Sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Zhang Jian, President of the Nanjing Convention and Exhibition Research Association, relevant leaders from the convention and exhibition office, Mr. Leisinger, General Manager of the Eurobike Project, Mr. Jaeger, Advisor to the Asia Bicycle Exhibition, and Mr. Li Hao, Project Director, among others. At the conference, Mr. Jaeger presented a report covering the current state of China’s bicycle market in 2013, the development of the sports bicycle market, the latest consumer research findings, and forecasts for the next 5–10 years of the sports bicycle industry in China, and also announced the dates and venue for the 2015 Nanjing Asia Bicycle Exhibition.
Regarding consumer research, Beijing Demans Exhibition Consulting Co., Ltd. collaborated with BIKETO, China’s largest professional cycling website, to survey current bicycle consumers in China and found that mountain bikes accounted for a significant proportion of purchases.
In addition to releasing the latest industry report, the exhibition organizers also officially announced the dates and venue for the 2015 Asia Bicycle Exhibition: September 17–20, 2015, at the Nanjing International Expo Center.
