On October 14, the press conference for the only non-stop 24-hour mountain outdoor multi-discipline competition in China—the “Red Bull 24-Hour” Coastal Challenge—was held in Shenzhen. The event will take place on November 15–16 on the Shenzhen Dapeng Peninsula, known as one of “China’s most beautiful coastlines.” Sixty teams from across the country will engage in a highly coastal-themed relay-style “game” over 24 hours. While completing the main “mission” to finish the race, participants must also “side quest” by completing side missions to earn items to help ensure successful completion. For the first time, the competition introduces a “base camp” challenge mode, with Nan’ao Square serving as the central hub. All events will be held around Nan’ao Square, and the upgraded course and gameplay will transform the “Red Bull 24-Hour” off-road series from a linear race into a three-dimensional outdoor event.
