The annual Luocun Filial Piety and Virtue Cultural Festival in Shishan Town is here as scheduled this Saturday (November 1)! The 8th “Filial Piety Promotes Prosperity, Virtue Shines Over Nanhai” Filial Piety and Virtue Cultural Festival will open on November 1, 2014, at the Xiaode Lake Square in Luocun, Shishan, Nanhai, Foshan, Guangdong, and will continue until the ninth day of the first lunar month next year, spanning five months. It is divided into five major parts: the opening ceremony, the filial piety and virtue carnival, practicing filial piety and virtue, the enduring legacy of filial piety and virtue, and the closing ceremony, featuring nearly 20 activity programs.
The award ceremony and cultural performances, the elders’ fun garden party, the charity banquet for seniors, the “Happy Luocun” family photo exhibition, community carnival performances, and the absolutely unmissable Lian An Lantern Festival—all make the closing ceremony each year a spectacular event that draws crowds from all over, capturing the attention of the whole society.
