The predecessor of Crowne Plaza Kunming Downtown was Yunnan Bangke Hotel, the first five-star hotel in Kunming, which was acquired by Thailand’s TCC Group in 2007. The hotel will be managed by IHG under the Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand.
