International Online Exclusive: According to a report by the UK's Daily Mail on November 16, an ecological resort over 1,400 meters above sea level has been launched in the Alps of Valais, Switzerland, where visitors can stay in dome tents resembling “igloos” and experience a unique way of life.
This resort, named Whitepod, consists of 15 dome tents similar to igloos, each fixed on a wooden platform and perfectly blending with the snowy mountains in the background. Each tent is equipped with a king-size luxury bed, a wood-burning fireplace, an en-suite bathroom, and many locally distinctive antique furnishings. In addition, there are deluxe suites that offer in-room breakfast, indoor massages, free Wi-Fi, and Apple TV.
Winter activities at the Whitepod resort include dog sledding, snowshoeing, and snowboarding, as well as skiing. The ski slopes here stretch for 7 kilometers and are divided into red and blue runs. There are also three lifts, but they are only open to guests.
In the evening, guests can choose from two menus prepared by the chef: traditional Swiss dishes (such as fondue and roast meat) or lighter options.
