The Southern Silk Road is a famous ancient trade route in southwestern China, connecting the inland regions of China with Southeast Asia and the Indian Ocean via Yunnan. Ancient commercial routes such as the Tea Horse Road and the Wuchi Path together formed the road network of the Southern Silk Road.
