About the Pathfinder Nanshan Ski & Mountaineering Lecture Series
During the 2014–2015 ski season, Nanshan Ski and Pathfinder jointly launched the “Pathfinder Nanshan Ski & Mountaineering Lecture Series,” providing a platform for mountaineers and skiers to exchange ideas and learn from one another, as well as offering systematic learning experiences about ski mountaineering techniques. The series also invites industry professionals to share their stories with enthusiasts, inspiring everyone to explore paths among the clouds.
This session’s guest speaker is Wang Jing, co-founder, board member, and mountaineering explorer of Beijing Pathfinder Outdoor Products Co., Ltd. She will join us with her collectible edition of the published work Quiet Mountain to take us into the adventurous world of 8,000-meter peaks and the polar regions. There will also be abundant prizes provided by China’s leading outdoor brand, Pathfinder (TOREAD).
About Wang Jing:
The Journey Has No End, Each Step Reaches New Heights
She is an extraordinary woman hailed as the “Alpine Snow Lotus.”
She has summited 8,000-meter peaks nine times,
making her the Chinese woman with the most 8,000-meter peak summits.
Her footsteps have reached all Nine Summits of the Earth.
In the mountains, she has encountered avalanches and survived 12-level winds,
often having close brushes with death.
In 2014, she completed her Nine Summits Earth Expedition.
Born in a small mountain village in Ziyang, Sichuan,
she is also the co-founder of the Chinese listed company’s outdoor brand “Pathfinder.”
Beyond mountaineering and entrepreneurship,
she emphasizes corporate social responsibility,
is passionate about environmental protection, and engages in philanthropic causes.
She is Wang Jing—Flying Snow, Quietly.
On December 28, she and her book Quiet Mountain will share her story with you at Beijing Nanshan Ski Resort,
allowing you to understand the unique bond between Quiet and the snowy peaks and polar regions, and to feel the awe of those landscapes and the inner journey behind each of her summit crossings.
