Xianyang rural tourism sees boom during New Year’s Day holiday

Although temperatures were relatively low during the holiday period, the weather remained sunny for several days in a row, and the willingness of residents and tourists to travel remained strong, with many people heading out to enjoy the pleasures of holiday travel. Traditional tourist attractions saw a steady rise in visitor numbers, with cultural and historical sites such as the Qianling Mausoleum, Maoling Mausoleum, and Bin County Giant Buddha Temple attracting more visitors compared to previous years. Places such as Xianyang Yangshengtang Foot Therapy and Chongying Health Club also saw significant increases in visitor numbers. During the New Year’s period, civilized tourism became a prevailing trend, with most visitors adhering to the requirements of civilized tourism by cherishing and maintaining the travel environment.
Before the holiday, the Xianyang Cultural Relics and Tourism Bureau issued the “Implementation Plan for the 100-day Winter Safety Production Rectification Action in the City’s Tourism Industry,” further strengthening tourism safety production, market regulation, and information consulting services. During the holiday, the bureau maintained 24-hour duty shifts and promptly disseminated relevant information from national and provincial tourism authorities regarding the Shanghai Bund crowd stampede incident. It urged all tourist attractions (sites) to conduct safety self-inspections and ensure timely crowd management, thereby creating a safe and pleasant tourism consumption environment for visitors. The city’s holiday tourism market operated smoothly, with no accidents involving cultural relics in museums or outdoor sites, and no tourism safety liability accidents or complaints occurred, marking a strong and positive start to the city’s tourism industry in the new year.
