On January 2nd, Beijing time, one day before the start of the 2015 Xiamen International Marathon, the official pacing team of the Xiamen Marathon, jointly created for the first time by the organizing committee and EZON, the event’s official exclusive sports watch partner, made its official debut. Sixteen official pacers, including running celebrities such as Professor Huang Lisheng from Xiamen University and marathon columnist “Running to the Ends of the Earth,” showcased the marathon’s exclusive pacer outfits, comprehensive and professional running gear, and shared their rich running experiences with fellow runners on site.

“Smart Xiamen Marathon, Dare to Run.” This is the slogan jointly launched by the organizing committee and EZON for this year’s Xiamen Marathon. In addition to giving the official pacers a more tech-inspired look, the two parties also collaborated on the production of the 2015 Xiamen Marathon official guide (video and official handbook), and specially created course reminder signs for the new route.
Within the “Smart Xiamen Marathon” system, in addition to being “smart,” the official pacers also carry another theme—“With You All the Way.” This concept is based on the unique role of the pacers. From the start to the finish, each pacer will accompany participants throughout the race. In addition, the organizers have carefully designed the “Thank You 600” segment after the official cutoff time, hoping to encourage those runners who persevere to the finish line and extend the pacers’ “journey” even further.
