2017 National Day Fireworks in Taitung “Complete Guide to 12 Best Spots to View the Fireworks”

The 2017 National Day fireworks will be held in Taitung, with the launch site located on the southern bank of the Beinan River estuary. The Beinan Township Office has specially compiled a “Complete Guide to Fireworks Viewing Spots,” allowing visitors to choose their favorite spots to enjoy the largest fireworks display in Taitung’s history.

Beinan Township Mayor Hsu Wen-wen noted that Fuyuan Village, near the fireworks launch site, offers an elevated vantage point with excellent views and no interference from smoke (as the northeast monsoon begins in October), making it an ideal choice for enjoying the show.

The eight recommended fireworks viewing spots by the Beinan Township Office:

1. Chaonan Temple
2. Lingxiao Palace
3. Northern Slope of Lingxiao Palace
3. Night Sky Café
4. Starry Tribe
5. Beinan Irrigation Canal
6. 7K Mark on Provincial Highway 46
7. Hanshe Tea House
8. Siguo Mountain

In addition to the above eight locations, there are also many spots in downtown Taitung where you can enjoy the beautiful fireworks show, including:

1. Taitung Forest Park
2. Taitung International Landmark Seaside Park
3. Rooftops of buildings six stories or higher (such as GAYA Hotel, Sheraton Taitung, etc.)

The Taitung County Government stated that this year’s National Day fireworks will be divided into six major themes: Primal, Wings, Perseverance, Harmony, Peace, and Ethnicity. Each theme, accompanied by music, will last six minutes, with the entire show spanning 36 minutes. A total of 22,000 fireworks are expected to be launched, along with a hot air balloon light show. The display will take place on National Day, October 10th, from 7:00 PM to 7:36 PM.
