Rock climbing is an outdoor sport that Asia Outdoor has been actively promoting for many years. As such, the Rock Climbing Open has become a traditional supporting event of the annual Asia Outdoor Exhibition. During the exhibition, not only are exciting rock climbing and bouldering competitions organized, but there is also a climbing equipment zone and a public stage. Industry professionals are invited to conduct demonstrations on wilderness survival rescue, rock climbing techniques, and safety lectures.
In recent years, through close collaboration with the Chinese Mountaineering Association and brands such as KAILAS and The North Face, the Rock Climbing Open at Asia Outdoor has flourished, attracting numerous professional climbers and enthusiasts from both China and abroad to compete. With its unique format and immense popularity, the event has become a grand feast in the climbing community during the exhibition.
From July 23–26, 2015, Asia Outdoor will celebrate its 10th anniversary in Nanjing. In addition to the special COA Summit Forum held before the exhibition, the Rock Climbing Open will once again take place, with hopes of greater participation from brands and climbing enthusiasts.
