Recently, all members of the second Kilimanjaro Climb Expedition, jointly organized by "The World" Magazine in collaboration with the French fashion outdoor brand Lafuma, Ethiopian Airlines, UTour Travel, and Crossing Africa, successfully reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
It is reported that during this expedition, the team faced exceptionally severe weather conditions during Tanzania’s dry season. Under the guidance of professional mountaineers, after days of trekking and overcoming numerous challenges, all members finally ascended to the rooftop of Africa.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa. Located in northeastern Tanzania, it stands at an elevation of 5,895 meters and gained global fame through Ernest Hemingway’s "The Snows of Kilimanjaro." Many people fall in love with mountain climbing for life because of Kilimanjaro. This “Roof of Africa” is both mysterious and beautiful. Its volcanic-formed body is majestic and profound, while the year-round snowcap at its summit serves as an eternal beacon for mountaineering enthusiasts.
The Kilimanjaro Climb Journey is a classic activity of "The World" Magazine’s Great Travellers Club. During the optimal climbing season from January to March each year, the club recruits readers and joins forces with professional mountaineers to pay homage to Kilimanjaro and challenge the peak of life.
