Three Explorer Divisions Jointly Release 2015 Travel Routes to Nepal

At 10:00 AM on the 28th, the Explorer “Transformation 'SHINE' 2015” themed exhibition officially began following a speech by Mr. Zhu Xiaogang, Vice President of the Explorer Brand Center. Mr. Zhu reviewed Explorer’s 16-year development journey, interpreting the brand’s “brave transformation” from the perspectives of multi-brand strategic layout, the building of a professional outdoor platform, and self-developed R&D capabilities. Mr. Gao Tuo, Director of Consumer Goods Projects at Messe München International, the organizer, spoke highly of Explorer’s remarkable progress and innovative spirit. Following this, professional managers from Explorer’s mountaineering, trekking, and travel divisions unveiled the highly anticipated 2015 travel routes. Known as the “Switzerland of Asia,” Nepal is nestled at the foot of the Himalayas and is a world-renowned tourist destination. This year, all three Explorer divisions have jointly created the 2015 Nepal Travel Experience.

Among them, the Explorer Mountaineering Division announced its 2015 Manaslu Expedition Experience Program: Mount Manaslu, standing at 8,156 meters above sea level, is the eighth highest peak in the world, located in Nepal within the central Himalayas. Climbing Manaslu is extremely challenging, with fewer than 300 successful summits to date. The Explorer Trekking Division released the Poon Hill Loop in Nepal: known as a paradise for trekkers, Nepal offers popular routes such as the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), the Annapurna Circuit (ACT), and the Poon Hill Loop. Among these, the Poon Hill Loop is the easiest, with lower altitude and shorter duration. One of the most attractive features is the opportunity to take a lightweight trek up Poon Hill to enjoy sunrise over the snow-capped mountains, terraced fields, and rhododendron blossoms. Meanwhile, the Explorer Travel Division will launch an 8-day classic Nepal tour in 2015, covering the route “Kathmandu – Chitwan – Pokhara – Sarangkot – Nagarkot – Patan.” These three carefully curated travel routes will allow participants to experience the charm of Nepal from different perspectives while enjoying the outstanding performance of Explorer’s products and equipment throughout the journey.

At ISPO BEIJING 2015, the Explorer 2015 Spring/Summer Windbreakers, endorsed by acclaimed actress and “national goddess” Gao Yuanyuan, made their first public appearance. These 2015 Spring/Summer Windbreakers use TIEF SKIN technology fabric, which is ultra-lightweight and comfortable, with a UV protection index of UPF>40+. They are a new technological product launched in 2015 by Explorer’s independently developed “Polar Biomimetic Technology” platform. Matching its advanced tech specs is its unique and fashionable design — from details like the hood opening and zippers to overall tailoring and color choices, all demonstrate the designer's creative ingenuity and thoughtful consideration. The product immediately captured the attention of the audience upon its debut.

The partnership between Gao Yuanyuan and the Explorer windbreakers brought many pleasant surprises to consumers. Over the years, Gao Yuanyuan has grown continuously, starring in numerous film and television works, with her sweet image widely recognized, gradually transforming into a national icon. In 2014, her marriage to Mark Chao marked another transformation in her life. Gao Yuanyuan’s image aligns perfectly with the brand spirit conveyed by the Explorer Spring/Summer windbreakers, and together they interpret the theme of “Transformation 'SHINE.’” It is reported that the Explorer 2015 Spring/Summer Windbreakers endorsed by Gao Yuanyuan will accompany the Nepal journeys jointly launched by the three divisions.

Explorer Keeps Activities Going at ISPO BEIJING, Integrating Online and Offline Efforts

During the ISPO BEIJING exhibition, the four Explorer divisions — Travel, Trekking, Mountaineering, and sub-brand ACANU (Acanu) — each organized exciting interactive activities on-site: the Travel Division’s T-shirt painting, the Trekking Division’s backpack packing competition, the Mountaineering Division’s Nepal (Mount Namjagbarwa) route promotion and interaction, and the ACANU Division’s Tibet cycling and New Zealand cycling sharing sessions. These activities helped convey Explorer’s brand spirit while engaging with the audience.

Meanwhile, Explorer also launched online activities via its official Weibo and WeChat platforms. During the ISPO exhibition period (January 28–31, 2015), visitors who scanned the Explorer QR code on-site to bind their membership had the chance to win movie tickets to Gao Yuanyuan’s short film. Specifically, fans could share exciting photos taken at the Explorer exhibition booth and post them to the Explorer WeChat service account “Fans Community” to enter the prize draw. Explorer would select winners based on the number of comments and likes on the shared photos and award prizes accordingly.

As a renowned outdoor brand participating in ISPO BEIJING 2015, Explorer’s “Transformation 'SHINE' 2015” themed event will continue until January 31. During the exhibition, the various Explorer divisions jointly launched the Nepal journey, offering segmented routes based on three different outdoor scenarios — mountaineering, trekking, and travel — to deliver a more comfortable and personalized experience, guiding outdoor enthusiasts to embark on a brave journey of transformation together.
