Bangkok, March 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CachetHotel Group (CHG) today officially announced the opening of its Bangkok, Thailand office. The Bangkok office will further expand the group’s business in Southeast Asia and will also serve as the headquarters of the group’s global design center.

Aaron Griffith has been promoted to President of Southeast Asia. Mr. Griffith will oversee the Bangkok luxury boutique hotel project currently under development by Cachet Hotel Group, as well as the development of hotels, resorts, and mixed-use projects across Southeast Asia. Aaron Griffith brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 15 years at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
Additionally, Rao Yuming has been appointed as Design Executive Director. Mr. Rao has over 15 years of experience in hotel design, specializing in luxury hotels, boutique hotels, and resort design, with projects including Banyan Tree, Hyatt Hotels, and China’s Jumeirah Hotels.
Mr. Rao began his career at Taylor Hariri Pontarini Architects, a leading integrated service architecture firm in Canada, where he was primarily responsible for the architectural and interior design of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Prior to joining Cachet Hotel Group, Mr. Rao worked at Wing Tai Asia, an international real estate company headquartered in Singapore, where he led the company’s trophy projects, ultra-high-end residences and apartments, as well as Le Nouvel Ardmore projects. Mr. Rao holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the National University of Singapore.
Cachet Hotel Group’s global design center will work closely with Cachet Hotel Group’s exclusive hotel designer Jay Godfrey as well as top designers in the restaurant, nightlife, and entertainment industries.
To further support the business development of Cachet Hotel Group, the company is recruiting a Business Development Director based in Bangkok to oversee the expansion of the group’s hotel brand portfolio across Southeast Asia.
