(NYSE: HOT) has recently launched a new app called ProMeetings, allowing meeting planners to manage meetings and events in real time from their mobile devices. Through ProMeetings, meeting planners who are SPG or SPG Pro members can directly submit various meeting requests to the hotel’s meeting team — including details such as electrical cord extensions, coffee service, or even lighting adjustments — all of which the hotel team can promptly and perfectly fulfill.

ProMeetings is currently being tested at Starwood hotels around the world, including W Singapore - Sentosa Cove,The Westin Singapore,Sheraton Atlanta Airport Hotel,W Atlanta - Downtown and The Westin Charlotte. Starwood will gather feedback from these tests to make improvements, and the app is expected to be globally available in 2016.
