Leveraging these unique advantages, as the first aerial corridor over the Yangtze River and a distinctive experience destination in Chongqing, the Yangtze River Cableway successfully transitioned from a public transport system to a national AAA-level tourist attraction in 2014. This not only made Chongqing the only city in China offering three forms of tourism—water (by boat), land (by car), and air (by cableway)—but also led the attraction to welcome over one million visitors in its first year, joining the “Chongqing Million Visitors Attractions Club.” It has even given rise to the saying in Chongqing’s tourism circle: “If you don’t ride the cableway, you haven’t really been to Chongqing.”
