【Zhangjiajie Two-Day Tour】Essential Travel Guide You Can't Miss!

    I've long heard about the stunning scenery and precipitous mountains of Zhangjiajie, but never had the time to visit. With the winter break not yet over, I decided to take two days off for a Zhangjiajie two-day tour. Before this trip, I did my homework and checked plenty of travel guides. The final itinerary I settled on was:

Day 1: Jinbian Stream—Bailong Elevator—Yuanjiajie

Day 2: Shili Gallery—Tianzi Mountain.

    Now that I’d made up my mind, the next step was booking train tickets. I purchased them via 12306, departing from Shanghai at 11:25 AM and arriving right at my destination the next morning. This way, I saved on a night’s accommodation—a must for budget-conscious student travelers.

3. Staying here makes it easy to get a taxi

    Since my plan was to arrive in Zhangjiajie in the morning and start exploring right away, then return the following evening—and with only a light load of luggage that didn’t need to be stored at the hotel—I only booked one night. The hotel was very easy to spot and find. Plus, it’s located right across from the Tianmen Mountain Cable Car station, just a two-minute walk away. It’s also convenient for visiting other scenic spots, as you can reach them quickly by taxi.
