Macao, March 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- To help the future leaders of society gain an in-depth understanding of how large-scale hotels operate, The Sheraton Grand Macao, Cotai Strip, is pleased to announce the launch of its engaging and educational“Little Hotel Star”family program. Guided by the hotel’s experienced chefs, front desk, and housekeeping team members, the activity offers children aged 4 to 12 a unique opportunity to learn about hotel operations firsthand. The program will officially kick off during the Easter holiday, bringing unforgettable surprises to children from April 4 to June 28, 2015.

With the growing number of family travelers visiting Macao, The Sheraton Grand Macao introduces the Little Hotel Star program, complemented by a full range of family-friendly facilities. This not only offers more diverse parent-child travel experiences for guests but also helps unlock more family tourism business opportunities in Macao.
The Sheraton Grand Macao’s“Little Hotel Star”program offers children a wide range of hands-on opportunities, such as taking on the roles ofjunior bartenders or junior chefs in the F&B department, or junior receptionists or junior room attendants in the housekeeping department, allowing them to learn about different aspects of hotel operations. Participants also wear exclusive Little Hotel Star uniforms, including chef aprons, chef hats, and housekeeping aprons tailored to different roles.
The program runs every Saturday and Sunday from 2:45 PM to 4:30 PM. Under the guidance of The Sheraton Grand Macao’s professional teams, participants will complete a series of simple tasks — such as learning to knead dough and make icing under the instruction of Assistant Executive Pastry Chef Liu Yaoyang, then decorating cookies; professional bartenders will teach them to mix layered non-alcoholic cocktails while sampling various ingredients, even sharing secret recipes; junior receptionists will learn how to check guests in, handle luggage, and understand the importance of customer relations by decorating rooms for celebrations; and skilled housekeeping staff will demonstrate how to fold towels into various animal shapes and other creative forms, as well as how to make the “Sweet Dreams Bed”®.
After completing their chosen activities, each Little Hotel Star will receive a certificate and a stamp in their Sheraton Grand Macao Little Hotel Star passport. Participants who complete four activities and collect four stamps will receive a T-shirt printed with“I Am a Little Hotel Star at The Sheraton Grand Macao”, a Sheraton teddy bear, a DreamWorks drawstring bag, and an animal photo frame. Participants may also purchase special edition uniforms from different activities as souvenirs.
