On March 18, 2015, the "Global Thin-Film Power Generation Product Innovation Competition – China Region 'Tongji University Station'" event, hosted by Hanergy Thin Film Power Group, the world's leading thin-film solar power company, kicked off at Tongji University. Themed "Creative Light Leading the Future of Living," the event drew extensive participation from students of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, School of Design and Innovation, School of Design and Art, and School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering at Tongji University’s College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Wu Zhiqiang, Vice Dean of Tongji University; Wu Xian, Dean of Tongji University Automotive Research Institute; Su Yunsheng, Lead Planner of the Urban Development Research Center at Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning & Design Institute; Zhang Liping, General Manager/Design Director of Shanghai Jie Dian Architecture Design; Jiang Kai, General Manager of Shanghai Jiang Kai Space Design; Li Songping from Swedish Design House, as well as engineers and technical experts from Hanergy, engaged in discussions and lively exchanges about the future application possibilities of thin-film solar power technology.
