The 2017 Kyoto-Osaka Michelin Guide was announced on the 18th, with a total of 419 restaurants receiving stars, along with 232 “value-for-money restaurants” (Bib Gourmand, offering high-quality cuisine for under 5,000 yen), including 4 Japanese ramen shops on the list. Among them, Tōhichi is a newly selected ramen shop this year.

Inoichi
Inoichi is located near Kyoto’s Shijo-Kawaramachi area and opened on July 3, 2013. The menu mainly includes Chinese-style noodles, Tsukemen noodles, and wagyu beef noodles, with each type of noodle available with either dark soy sauce or white soy sauce. Menya Yu
Menya Yu is also a relatively new ramen shop, having opened in 2014. Its signature dishes are crab salt ramen and crab salt tsukemen, both bursting with rich crab flavor.
