Can't wait to see it? The 2016 New Taipei City Happy Christmas Town features a 3D light sculpture Christmas tree

As Christmas approaches, the ever-popular New Taipei City Happy Christmas Town, which draws large crowds every year, is already in active preparation, and how the 2016 edition will be presented has generated much anticipation.Chen Kuo-chun, Director of the Tourism and Travel Bureau, revealed today that this year the city government building will be illuminated. They have invited the Singapore-based Guinness World Record-holding light projection team "Hoshi," to create the largest 3D light show in Taiwan, transforming the familiar "bamboo shoot landmark" into the world’s only 360-degree 3D light sculpture Christmas tree.

The projected light content will not only feature cool and spectacular 3D visual effects across the entire exterior wall of the city government building, but also include the Happy Christmas Town anime characters Santa Bear and the Square Head Bear family. Vivid and dazzling images will take visitors on a magical Christmas adventure through outer space, the underwater world, a fantasy rainforest, an ice and snow wonderland, and a candy dream factory.

Since Mayor Eric Chu pointed out during last year's policy meeting that the Christmas tree in front of the city government lacks a festive atmosphere when there is no light projection during non-event times, the Tourism Bureau also stated that they will discuss solutions with the Singapore team.
