Hangzhou, August 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --August 21, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement of the Hangzhou base project of Beijing Capital Airlines Co., Ltd. was held in Guali Town. This marks the official settlement of the Capital Airlines Hangzhou base project, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan and a planned land area of 250 mu, in Guali. This is the first major project to be introduced in the 21-square-kilometer Hangzhou Airport Economic Zone Airside Industrial Park, which the town is currently planning to launch.

Attending the signing ceremony were Yu Donglai, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the District Party Committee, Feng Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and Deputy District Chief, Yao Jin and Gao Weiguo, leaders at the deputy district level, as well as relevant officials from Capital Airlines.
Beijing Capital Airlines Co., Ltd. is a public air transport enterprise jointly funded by the Beijing Municipal People's Government and HNA Group Co., Ltd. Its strategic development is positioned as an international tourism airline, with its base airport being Beijing Capital International Airport. The Capital Airlines Hangzhou base project has a total investment of approximately 1.5 billion yuan, with an estimated annual tax contribution of 150 million yuan. The project plans to use 250 mu of land, located on the west side of Xiaoshan International Airport. Of this, 50 mu adjacent to the apron will be used for engineering maintenance, including the construction of maintenance hangars and auxiliary facilities, as well as an aviation materials warehouse; 100 mu adjacent to Airport Road will be used for office buildings, a training base, an in-flight catering center, and crew quarters; the remaining 100 mu will be allocated for business jet and aviation logistics industry layout.
At the signing ceremony, district leaders stated that Guali Town is one of the first 27 small-city cultivation pilot towns in Zhejiang Province, boasting significant locational advantages, superior transportation conditions, and a solid industrial foundation. It serves as a major platform for our district to develop airside industries and airport economy. Capital Airlines is a comprehensive airline with strong capabilities, extensive operational experience, and numerous domestic and international routes, and is actively building itself into China's premier international tourism airline brand. Xiaoshan International Airport is the second-largest airport in East China and the largest, most comprehensively equipped, and busiest international airport in Zhejiang Province. The strong collaboration and joint development among the three parties will surely generate tremendous vitality, thereby effectively driving the development of airside industries and airport economy.
District leaders required that Guali Town designate specific leaders and assemble dedicated teams to provide "babysitting-style, one-stop, and end-to-end" services for the project; the airport company should reasonably allocate airport resources in line with the construction and operational needs of the project, and actively support the growth and strengthening of the Capital Airlines base; relevant district-level departments should open green channels, provide high-quality services, and strive to ensure the early commencement, completion, and operation of the project, working to build the Capital Airlines Hangzhou base into a top-tier aviation base in the province and a leading one nationwide.
In recent years, especially since the adjustment of administrative divisions, Guali Town has firmly grasped the "bull by the horns" of major project construction, a key driver for the transformation and development of the small city, achieving one new breakthrough after another in economy and society.
