The highly anticipated international event "2015 Silk Road China Rally," long awaited by off-road enthusiasts, proudly set off on August 29, 2015. Top off-road racing teams and drivers from both China and abroad gathered under the Danfeng Gate of the Tang Daming Palace National Heritage Park in the ancient capital of Xi'an, kicking off a 14-day, nearly 6,000-kilometer journey that traverses time and space across provinces and autonomous regions including Shaanxi, Gansu, and Inner Mongolia. CCTV5 provided live coverage of the opening ceremony and simultaneously aired a special program.
