After four days of fierce competition, on the afternoon of November 8, the Suzhou Center · Inter-City Inland Lake Cup 2015 Jinji Lake Sailing Race delivered a satisfying set of results, with both adult and youth categories achieving impressive performances. On-site activities such as the Water Fun Carnival were also in full swing, with many citizens bringing their children to experience kayaking and OP sailboats.

This sailing race was full of highlights, with intense competition and dynamic weather conditions during the racing days—including sudden temperature drops, strong winds, surging waves, and light smog—that presented challenges for participants while making the event even more exciting and thrilling. Professional media commented: “It’s very rare for an inland lake sailing race to encounter average wind speeds of nearly 10 knots, with gusts reaching up to 20 knots.” On the first day of racing, 20 keelboat teams competed in the 7.4-square-kilometer waters of Jinji Lake, with the Fudan University Mountaineering Association Sailing Team crossing the finish line first. The Shanghai Veterans Sailing Team was confident in the first round, but perhaps too eager, resulting in an early start. In the second round, the Veterans Sailing Team II finally shook off their first-round slump and claimed first place.
