From then to now, though Martin’s life has undergone tremendous changes—he is no longer the broke kid who once struggled to get a snowboard, but is affectionately called the “Godfather of Skiing” by locals—many things seem to have remained the same. For instance: he still skis all over the world nonstop, still gets ecstatic over scoring a beautiful snowboard, and still fearlessly tries dangerous moves... “Maybe ever since I fell in love with skiing, reason has been a thing of the past,” he says.
