Lindsey Vonn magazine coverSINA Sports News Recently, four-time FIS Alpine Ski World Cup champion and Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn shot a fashion spread for a magazine and revealed the real reason behind her breakup with Tiger Woods.
After dating for three years, Vonn and golfer Woods ultimately parted ways. Although Vonn initially stated that the reason for their breakup was the long periods of separation, she later revealed the truth: the 39-year-old Woods was unfaithful to her.
When asked if the breakup affected her physique, 31-year-old Vonn said, “The breakup gave me more time to reshape myself.” Vonn stated that she is now more focused on her skiing career and also revealed that she has a new nutritionist, and they have made all the preparations to maintain a healthy physique this winter.
Vonn also offered some advice to women who have long struggled with body image issues, saying, “The most important thing is to eat healthily. I was once teased as being ‘chicken-like’ for being too thin, but then my metabolism slowed down and my weight rapidly increased, feeling like I had gone to the other extreme. Actually, my body has always been within a normal range, but when I need to look my best for skiing or photo shoots, I feel like I’m just too big.”
Last month, Vonn said in an interview that she suffered a left ankle fracture during training in New Zealand in August. After nearly two months of recovery, she has now resumed skiing training. This injury can be seen as another setback following her return from a serious knee injury last season.
