On the 29th, the first ski event of 2015–2016 and the tourism product promotion conference hosted by Jilin International Travel Agency · Jinjihua were held. After the event, more than a thousand skiing enthusiasts from Harbin experienced the joy of skiing.
According to officials from Jinjihua Ski Resort, the full opening of the resort depends not only on natural snowfall but also requires artificial snowmaking. Since the onset of winter, there has been relatively little heavy snowfall in Harbin, so the resort began artificial snowmaking a few days ago. Currently, the advanced slopes are open for skiing, while beginner and intermediate slopes are still under ongoing snowmaking and are expected to open around December 5. Reporters learned from major ski resorts around Harbin that all resorts are currently conducting artificial snowmaking and preparing to open as soon as possible to welcome the arrival of the skiing season.
Heilongjiang Province is a major ice and snow sports province in China, boasting over 150 ski resorts and nearly ten thousand skiing industry professionals. Whether in terms of the number of ski resorts, the number of professionals, or the number of participants, it ranks among the top in the nation. Beijing and Zhangjiakou’s successful bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics will encourage over 300 million people in China to engage in ice and snow sports, signaling that China’s skiing industry is about to enter a golden period of rapid development. Establishing a comprehensive ski instructor training system, nurturing technically proficient, high-quality, and highly skilled skiing professionals, and preparing more talent for the Beijing Winter Olympics is a new goal for Heilongjiang’s development.
It is reported that Harbin Jinjihua Ski Resort has a total of 15 slopes of various levels, spanning nearly 30 kilometers in total length. Among them, the beginner slope is 100 meters wide, the widest in China. The resort can accommodate 5,000 skiers and serves as a high-end platform that combines mass tourism skiing and competitive skiing. Today, Harbin Jinjihua Ski Resort has become one of the top ski resorts in China and even Asia, having been awarded titles such as “5S-level Ski Resort,” “Most Popular Ski Resort,” and “Homeland of Skiing in China.” This year, Harbin Jinjihua Ski Resort has partnered with the Harbin “Snow Elf” Outdoor Ski Club. Leveraging their respective strengths, they aim to establish a relatively complete set of industry standards for ski resort staff training, assessment, certification, and promotion in China. At the same time, they are cultivating talent for the development of Heilongjiang’s skiing industry. Based at this resort, they are building a domestic platform for ski technique exchange and interaction. Rooted in the province and reaching across the nation, they provide training services and technical support for skiing professionals nationwide.
