Principles for Packing Luggage:
1.Before you leave, go through your everyday carry items and don’t overlook the small things—such as unused cards, nail clippers, etc. Though small in size, their combined weight can still be a burden.
2. Only bring items you’re certain you’ll use, and firmly leave behind those you won’t—like books, face masks, flashlights, etc. Sometimes you imagine reading before bed every night, but after a full day of activities, you won’t feel like opening a book, nor will you on the road; you’ll most likely use that time to catch up on sleep.
3. Try to pack small and soft items: for example, use a canvas bag instead of a leather one, a coin purse instead of a large wallet, and try to bring travel-sized cosmetics whenever possible.
4. Choose items that can serve multiple purposes: for instance, a loose T-shirt can be worn outside or as pajamas; a dark brown eyeliner can also double as an eyebrow pencil; flip-flops work both indoors and outdoors.
