On December 28, the “Guangdong Local Specialties Cultural and Creative Design Competition,” themed “Guangdong Local Specialties, A Triple Blessing,” organized by the Guangdong Provincial Tourism Bureau, will officially kick off. What gifts best represent Guangdong’s tourism culture? Which distinctive tourism products will make the honorable list? For a time, the topic of Guangdong local specialties has sparked widespread social attention toward Lingnan culture.
It is understood that this competition will run for three months, going through stages including submission, selection, and awards presentation. By combining online public voting with expert professional judging, 100 outstanding works that best represent the cultural characteristics of Guangdong tourism will be selected and announced to the public in March 2016. Notably, this competition is open to the entire society—all are welcome to participate, and every voter has the chance to win major prizes.
