At the foot of Cangshan Mountain and by the shores of Erhai Lake, the outdoor sports education sector in Dali Prefecture has gained a new highlight.2016Year1Month20Day, the inauguration ceremony of Kailas Dali Lingpan Outdoor Sports School was held.
The school’s chairman, Cao Jun—a benchmark figure in China’s outdoor industry, Vice President of the Shenzhen Mountaineering & Outdoor Association, Vice Chairman of the Guangzhou Extreme & Mountaineering Sports Association, former second president of Peking University’s Mountain Eagle Club, and a mountaineer who has summited Mount Everest as well as the highest peaks of Europe, Australia, and Oceania, successfully reached both the North and South Poles… For years he has been dedicated to the development of the outdoor industry and outdoor education, promoting and implementing the “Kailas Outdoor Coaches Development Program,” the “Mountain Eagle Youth Development Program,” and multiple training projects under the Shenzhen Mountaineering Association. He has trained a large number of key reserve talents for China’s climbing and outdoor sports. He introduced to the attending guests the background, process, and future direction of the school.

Kailas Dali Lingpan Outdoor Sports School is a core project led and prioritized by the Dali Prefecture Party Committee and Government. It is also an important component of the “Dali Sports and Health Center” project jointly established by the Shenzhen Mountaineering & Outdoor Sports Association and BGI. Since its initial planning, the school has received strong support from the prefectural government in aspects such as project approval and site selection. While undertaking relevant outdoor sports training operations in Dali Prefecture, the school serves outdoor sports enthusiasts and professionals nationwide. With a standardized curriculum system, execution system, and certification system at its core, and complemented by outdoor resource integration and development planning, outdoor activity organization, and other value-added services, it is based in Dali while targeting the national outdoor sports education market. The school’s core team began developing outdoor training courses in2006and started teaching practice in the Pearl River Delta region.2012, the program was promoted nationwide. With continuous support and promotion from the Kailas brand, training sessions have been held in Xinjiang, Shandong, East China, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, and other regions—10classes in total—training over ten thousand participants and producing more than300highly skilled and experienced outdoor coaches specializing in various fields, thereby leading the development of the domestic outdoor training industry.
