Xiapu is located in the northeast of Fujian and is the oldest county in eastern Fujian. It boasts titles such as “Peach Blossom Land by the Sea,” “China’s Most Beautiful Tidal Flats,” and “Cradle of Photographers.” Here, the blue sea meets golden beaches, and under the shifting light, the coastal tidal flats present an enchanting view. At the same time, it also features rich cultural elements—scenes such as fishermen casting nets, hanging oysters, and harvesting kelp all make for excellent photographic subjects.
The Guozigou Valley is known as the “No. 1 Scenic Spot of Ili” and is located 40 kilometers northeast of Huocheng County. It is a necessary passage along National Highway 312 from Urumqi to Ili, with the famous Sayram Lake right at the valley’s northern exit. Inside Guozigou, the valley twists and turns, dotted with wildflowers, while the Taleqi River rushes through. Wild apple and apricot trees cover the slopes, giving you the feeling of turning left at the gateway to heaven even if you’re just passing through by car.
