From June 30 to July 3, 2016, the 11th Asia Outdoor Exhibition was held at the Nanjing International Expo Center, where friends from all over the world gathered in Nanjing to witness this industry event.

As a new starting point for the next decade, receiving your affirmation and encouragement makes us proud. We take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes.

The 2016 Asia Outdoor Exhibition showed significant growth compared to previous years, with an exhibition area of 48,000 square meters and 705 participating brands (2015: 617), of which 26% were international brands (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). Over the four-day exhibition period, it attracted 19,502 professional visitors from around the world (2015: 19,002). In China’s ever-evolving outdoor market, the exhibition has long ceased to be just a platform for product display and business promotion, and now also serves functions of learning, experience, and social networking.

As Asia Outdoor Exhibition Project Director Li Hao said: “After 11 years of refinement, the Asia Outdoor Exhibition has grown into the most professional and largest exhibition in China’s outdoor field. It is not only a business platform for brands and dealers to establish cooperation, but also an interactive platform for dealers to share resources, and a shared social space for all outdoor enthusiasts.”

This year, the exhibition comprehensively showcased new outdoor technologies and trends: from functional apparel and footwear to lightweight outdoor gear, from camping to hiking, from running to skiing, and even including trendy RVs and campsite gatherings—it covered almost all product categories in the outdoor industry. The increasingly specialized zone displays at the venue, as well as the growing number of outdoor service companies in the “Club House,” all reflect the new characteristics of the industry. And that’s not all—various industry forums, expert talks, and experience activities took turns throughout the show, offering a feast of exciting content.

Sheng Faqiang, Chairman of Toread Group, stated, “The Asia Outdoor Exhibition has been meticulously developed over the years and has earned recognition from the majority of outdoor professionals. More brands and industry players have chosen this exhibition to communicate and showcase. The combination of equipment and activities is one of the highlights of this exhibition. For example, brands bring in events or competitions and integrate them with their own products, engaging users in ways they enjoy. Whether through family-friendly formats or community-based approaches, participants can experience the joy of outdoor sports during the process, thus cultivating a broader user base and further growing the industry.”
