ISPO Sneak Peek | Century-old French Outdoor Brand CIMALP (Ximalu) Makes a Stunning Debut

        ISPO SHANGHAI The 12th Asia Outdoor & Fashion Trade Show was held in Shanghai on July 6 to great anticipation. Over the course of the three-day event, a multitude of outdoor sports brands gathered here. The famous century-old French outdoor brand CIMALP (Ximalu) has once again made a stunning arrival. At this exhibition, CIMALP is set to “achieve great things.” With China successfully securing the bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, the country’s winter sports market is expected to experience explosive growth. Leveraging its long history of designing and producing skiwear and mountaineering apparel, CIMALP (Ximalu) has specially launched a series of apparel and gear suited for China’s outdoor sports, which are being showcased intensively at this exhibition.

        In 2015, CIMALP (Ximalu) provided strong support for the successful bid of the 2022 Winter Olympics in multiple ways. It sponsored China’s national teams in luge, bobsleigh, and skeleton, supplying all athletes with their competition apparel. Additionally, in partnership with the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Ski Association, CIMALP sponsored five of the highest-level domestic alpine skiing events — the 2015-2016 “Ximalu” Cup China Alpine Ski Tour, a competition for both amateur and professional skiers. The apparel and gear received high praise from leaders and athletes of the Winter Sports Management Center. Wang Chunlu, head of the Skiing Department, expressed great surprise when discussing the gear, saying: “Professional ski protection gear used to only be available abroad. I never imagined that CIMALP (Ximalu) could produce such high-quality equipment, eliminating the need to purchase from overseas.” This year, CIMALP also served as the official apparel sponsor for the second “Moving China – Sunshine Sports Culture Tour for International Students in China,” hosted by the Ministry of Education, organized by CCTV-5, and run by the University Sports Federation. It provided necessary sportswear for over 100 international student teams and organizing committee staff across the country, earning widespread acclaim from both domestic and international students.
