In the recently published "13th Five-Year Plan for Competitive Sports" by the General Administration of Sport of China, goals such as successfully hosting the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and fully promoting the development of winter sports are prominently listed.

The capital market is also very optimistic about the prospects of China's winter sports. At the 8th Investment Beijing Fair held on September 6th, Beijing presented a new batch of 60 projects for investment, including Olympic venues, with a total investment of 275 billion yuan, aiming to attract 195 billion yuan in social capital. The snow and ice consumption industry chain is long, yet China’s snow and ice consumption market is still in its early stages, requiring active participation and cultivation from all relevant parties.

"For China to become a strong winter sports nation, it’s not just about how many gold medals are won at the Winter Olympics. More importantly, it’s about how many people participate in winter sports, how many ski facilities communities can provide, and how many people are willing and able to afford snow and ice activities," said Mr. Wu Bin. He proposed that sustainable development after the initial boom should be a continuous journey toward providing higher-quality services for the two core groups: skiers and ski resorts. After all, this is the foundation for developing the ski consumption market.
