What’s fun about Antarctica?
Once you complete an Antarctic ice swim, you’ve achieved something truly remarkable.
But when I jumped into the water, it felt more like diving into a warm swimming pool. It wasn’t as bone-chillingly cold as I had imagined—the cruise operator scheduled the “Antarctic Winter Swim” in an area with little floating ice, and the water temperature didn’t drop below 4°C—of course, having completed this challenge, I’ll be able to brag about it for six months solid.
