On the afternoon of February 14, 2017, the ISPO BEIJING 2017 — the 13th Asia Outdoor & Sports Fashion Exhibition — once again joined hands with ALPITEC CHINA 2017, the China International Mountain & Winter Sports Equipment Expo, to hold a press conference at the China National Convention Center.

Carrying on the cutting edge, exploring the future, and discussing the outlook of the industry together
The uniqueness of ISPO BEIJING 2017 lies in the fact that it is an annual gathering co-created by brands, retailers, distributors, design and R&D professionals, media, and sports enthusiasts. As always, this exhibition presents a variety of colorful concurrent conferences and events for China’s sports industry, exchanging insights, seeking business opportunities, and addressing challenges together with all industry colleagues.
During the exhibition, the ISPO Academy organized four professional forums in specialized fields. The 11th Asia Pacific Ski Industry Forum (APSC) released the 2016 China Ski Resort White Paper, shared new cases of domestic and international resort ski resorts, discussed international cases and the domestic status quo of small and medium-sized ski resorts, and introduced the establishment and management of international authoritative ski teaching standards. The ISPO Sports Industry Forum brought together senior experts from all links of the sports retail industry chain, with industry opinion leaders and pioneers of Internet+ thinking discussing retail opportunities in China’s sports industry, and authoritatively releasing the 2016 China Outdoor Products Market Survey Report. The China Sports Fashion Trend Forum, dedicated to providing designers and product managers with the latest information, shared the 2018/19 functional textile trend, interpreting the main trends of the next season from various aspects. The China Amateur Climbing Summit Forum focused on the current state of the industry, discussing topics such as climbing’s inclusion in the Olympics, youth climbing education, amateur climbing competitions, and the commercial development of climbing gyms.
As the world’s most important product design award in the sports goods industry — the “ISPO Award” — it is committed to showcasing the industry’s newest and top-tier product designs. This year, it also set up a large-scale exhibition area for award-winning products and held a grand awards ceremony at the exhibition site, helping practitioners in China’s sports industry broaden their horizons. Excellent innovative products and startups are the driving forces behind the continuous development of the industry. ISPO BEIJING 2017 newly established the ISPO Emerging Brands Zone, providing a showcase platform for outstanding startups in China’s sports industry and promoting the healthy development of the industry.
As the most important professional trade platform for the sports fashion industry in the Asia-Pacific region, ISPO BEIJING not only builds a more comprehensive trade negotiation platform for the industry and provides broader business opportunities, but also works with all industry insiders to jointly promote the win-win development of China’s sports goods industry and lead the trends of China’s sports industry.
