The Asian Sporting Goods and Technology Exhibition Sports Tech Asia, jointly organized by Messe München and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., will be held concurrently with ISPO SHANGHAI 2017 – Asia (Summer) Sporting Goods and Fashion Exhibition from July 6–8, 2017, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. On the occasion of ISPO BEIJING 2017, Mr. Thomas, Deputy General Manager of Messe München (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Mr. Chung Chi-yin, General Manager of Adsale Group, gave a joint media interview at ISPO BEIJING.

Mr. Thomas, Deputy General Manager of Messe München (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Mr. Chung Chi-yin, General Manager of Adsale Group
Mr. Thomas, Deputy General Manager of Messe München (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.:
Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. has extensive resources in sports fabric and sporting goods production technology, especially in the fields of textiles and plastics & rubber. Therefore, the collaboration between the two exhibitions is a natural extension along the upstream and downstream industry chain, responding to the current sports boom, focusing on the latest sports technologies, bringing together global quality buyers and suppliers, and creating a sustainable production model.
In China, running is a very popular sport, and runners can be seen everywhere in parks. ISPO will also keep pace with this development speed and demand, encouraging more runners to participate in our exhibitions. One of the thematic zones at ISPO SHANGHAI 2017, "Speed & Power," is specifically designed to meet the needs of the running market and runners. ISPO SHANGHAI focuses on the running market, while ISPO BEIJING highlights winter sports.
Unlike previous editions, ISPO SHANGHAI 2017 will provide a platform for more R&D personnel and production designers to showcase their work, allowing exhibitors and the public to gain a broader understanding of the industry chain. As such, the new addition of the Asian Sporting Goods and Technology Exhibition Sports Tech Asia has been introduced. In addition, ISPO SHANGHAI 2017 delves deep into the demands of China’s summer sports industry, focusing on three core sports themes: "Enjoy the Outdoors," "Speed & Power," and "Urban Trends."
Numerous outstanding international and domestic brands participate in various fields including outdoor sports, running and fitness, urban light outdoor activities, and trend sports. The event attracts a large number of high-quality professional visitors from multi-brand, multi-channel, and cross-industry backgrounds, bringing new experiences and exchange opportunities to Asia’s sporting goods and fashion industry.
Mr. Chung Chi-yin, General Manager of Adsale Group:
ISPO SHANGHAI has a wealth of brand resources covering outdoor, water sports, and running & fitness; it also has access to department stores, agents, distributors, multi-brand stores, and retailers. We hope to leverage the strong exhibition background of the ISPO series as a solid foundation for the buyer base, providing exhibitors with an excellent trade platform that directly connects them with premium procurement groups. Adsale Group has over 30 years of experience organizing machinery and industrial exhibitions, accumulating rich resources in production technology and manufacturing. By integrating the strengths of both parties, we aim to extend the upstream and downstream production chain, gather global premium industry buyers and suppliers, and create more business opportunities for industry professionals. We hope to see the full spectrum of the production chain through one exhibition.
In the past, we organized the biennial Shanghai International Textile Industry Exhibition, which hosted over 1,200 exhibitors. Additionally, the International Rubber and Plastics Exhibition we host gathers more than 3,000 exhibitors. The Asian Sporting Goods and Technology Exhibition Sports Tech Asia will invite some technologically advanced and high-tech-content suppliers to participate, showcasing six themed zones: sportswear and footwear equipment processing machinery, sole and upper technology, special chemicals and dyes, outdoor goods processing machinery, smart wearable technology, and new materials and technologies. It will cover the most comprehensive range of sports technologies and the latest innovations. Companies from Italy, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, and China will all participate.
