The 2017 Asia Consumer Electronics Show (CES Asia 2017) was held in Shanghai from June 7 to 9, 2017, Beijing time. In addition to a variety of mind-blowing cutting-edge tech products, the carnival-like creative booths on-site were also highly attractive. Today, let’s take a look at the 5 most eye-catching booths at this year’s CES Asia.

PowerVision – Technology and Creativity Make Life Limitless

Since launching the PowerEgg egg-shaped drone last year, PowerVision has garnered significant attention from consumers. This time at the exhibition, they also introduced a highly creative “underwater robot” — the PowerRay, which won the “Innovation Award” from CES Asia.

According to the introduction, the PowerRay weighs about 3.8 kilograms, uses a lithium battery as its power source, has a maximum battery life of approximately 4 hours, and can dive to a depth of 30 meters. Its main features include 4K high-definition underwater filming, visual fishing, and immersive VR. Users can choose the feature combination that suits their needs. Another highlight of the PowerRay is the built-in PowerSeeker (fish-finding sonar explorer), which can detect fish schools and underwater terrain, enabling precise bait placement to meet the needs of sea fishing enthusiasts.

The biggest highlight of PowerVision’s booth was the giant artificial pool set up on-site, where two foreign model mermaids took turns diving into the water to interact with the underwater robot. In addition to intuitively showcasing the robot’s underwater performance, the creative performance also attracted many spectators to stop and watch. It was indeed ingenious and one of the most eye-catching booths of the event.

Mercedes-Benz(Mercedes-Benz )-Focusing on Future New Strategies

With the continuous development of automotive technology, more and more exhibitions have begun to delve into the automotive industry. To enhance the driving experience, cars today are integrating more and more intelligent features. For example, Mercedes-Benz announced its new Fit & Healthy health concept car, which was presented to audiences in a brand-new China Special Edition at this year’s CES Asia Shanghai show.

Supported by artificial intelligence, it can connect with drivers and provide personalized suggestions regarding health and lifestyle. For instance, when the system detects that the driver is fatigued, it will intelligently plan a suitable navigation route — one that is relaxing and includes ample rest stops.

Huawei(Huawei)-A Better ConnectedWorld

During CES Asia, Huawei launched multiple new products, including three models from the Huawei MateBook series, the Huawei Tablet M3 Youth Edition, the Huawei Router A1 Enjoy Edition, the Huawei Router WS318 Enhanced Edition, and the Huawei Mobile WiFi 2 series.

Huawei, which has performed outstandingly in the smartphone field, brought new notebook products from the Huawei MateBook series to this exhibition. Among them, the stylish and agile business laptop MateBook X exclusively won the “Best Design Product Award” in the 2017 first-half “Outstanding Electronics Products Grand Prix,” initiated by the leading ICT industry media Communication World.

Pico-A More Focused "Lifestyle-Oriented" VR Experience

At this year’s CES Asia 2017, all four new products from Pico made an appearance, along with the previously highly anticipated but unreleased Pico Neo CV Edition all-in-one VR headset from the U.S. CES. This VR all-in-one device also won the “Innovation Award” product at CES Asia 2017.

The design of the Pico exhibition area continued the “lifestyle-oriented” theme, with wooden structures creating a warm, homey atmosphere. The lifestyle-focused spatial design stood out among the many high-tech and cool-looking booths, giving off a strong sense of approachability. A month ago, at Pico’s new product launch, its artistic venue setup received unanimous praise from guests, and the theme “From a Spark of Curiosity to a Way of Life” left a lasting impression. At this exhibition, Pico continued with this style, conveying the idea of VR becoming part of everyday life to the industry.

As one of the foremost barometers of the tech industry, every CES show is truly a visual feast of technology, bringing us innovative surprises. Tomorrow is the final public day of the exhibition — which companies will emerge as dark horses and surprise us? Stay tuned to find out.
