According to reports, the 10th National Jasmine Tea Trade Fair and the 2017 China (Hengxian) Jasmine Flower Culture Festival Mascot Design Competition officially kicked off on July 5. Themed “Fragrance Spreads Across China and Beyond,” the competition invites designers nationwide to submit mascot design works for China’s hometown of jasmine. It is jointly organized by the organizing committee of the 10th National Jasmine Tea Trade Fair, the 2017 China (Hengxian) Jasmine Flower Culture Festival, and the People’s Government of Hengxian County, and hosted by ZBJ.com (Zhubajie.com), with special support from ZBJ.com’s official Weibo, WeChat, and the self-media channels of 26 ZBJ China parks across the country.

Jasmine has a long history in China and is rich in cultural significance. The folk song “Jasmine Flower,” created around it, enjoys global fame and serves as an excellent cultural ambassador showcasing China to the world. Jasmine tea is also a unique tea variety in China, beloved by consumers. Located in central-southern Guangxi, Hengxian leads the world in jasmine and jasmine tea production, earning the titles “Hometown of Jasmine in China” and “Global Production Center of Jasmine and Jasmine Tea.” It is estimated that the combined brand value of jasmine and jasmine tea in Hengxian, Guangxi, reaches 18 billion yuan, making it the most valuable agricultural product brand in the region. This competition aims to establish a new brand image for Hengxian’s jasmine and further enhance its brand recognition.
The competition runs from July 5 to 25, 2017. Designers can participate by visiting the dedicated event page through the ZBJ.com competition channel (Competition details: http://task.zbj.com/11386012/).
