The awards covered a wide range of categories including individuals, events, routes, equipment, destinations, brands, initiatives, and cutting-edge technological innovations. The following are the various awards presented at this year’s ceremony:
1.Person of the Year Yu Lei
4In the year, he became the only Chinese athlete to completeUTMBand set a record as China’s sole participant.2016For consecutive years, he completedUTMB,4KVDAandTDG, three world-class ultra-trail races, covering a total distance of850kilometers and a cumulative elevation gain of60000meters, creating a miracle in the world of trail running. He has been hailed as a“Superman”by the international trail running community.2017In the year, he was selected as theITRAsole representative of Chinese athletes. He has also won awards such as the China Golden Rhino Award for Outdoor Excellence. 2. Outdoor Culture Contribution Award Zhai Mo
“National Marine Public Welfare Image Ambassador”and President of the Navigation Culture Branch of the China Oceanic Society, Zhai Mo has long been dedicated to the exploration and promotion of maritime culture. He initiated the“reconstruction of a thousand-year-old Song Dynasty wooden ship”The event involved reconstructing ancient ships and navigating them to retrace the Maritime Silk Road, showcasing China’s millennia-old maritime history through a world-class sailing competition with distinctive Chinese characteristics.“The more renowned”Lushu Bu Cup International Sailing Regatta+integrates ancient Chinese navigation techniques such as the compass
and nautical charts into modern sailing competitions, once again pioneering the history of sailing events.
3.Award Recipient: Navigator Zhai Mo2020Annual Most Influential Event Award: Extreme Sports Included in the
BMXTokyo Olympics
for the first time. Events like BMX became official Olympic disciplines. The General Administration of Sport of China established a cross-disciplinary talent selection working group, recruiting athletes both domestically and internationally. By the end of September, the national team was initially formed. Meanwhile, the administration plans to allocate special funds to establish a series of extreme sports parks and centers nationwide, providing regular and formal training venues for enthusiasts and provincial teams. With increased national attention and the upgrading of sports consumption among the Chinese public, the outdoor industry has gained new momentum.

“Huangshan Yixian Mountain Bike Training Base”In line with the strategic goal of building a modern international rural tourism comprehensive demonstration zone, efforts have been made to deeply integrate tourism, ecology, and culture, actively creating experiential and leisure-oriented outdoor bases. The base has been successively awarded by the General Administration of Sport of China as the“Southern Anhui(County)National Sports Industry Base”“and the Yixian Mountain Bike Training Base of the Chinese Cycling Association.”,“National Fitness Outdoor Activity Camp”,“Youth Outdoor Sports Activity Camp”, among other titles. The Qiyun County cycling route has been listed as a China Sports Tourism Premium Promotion Project by the General Administration of Sport of China and the National Tourism Administration.
