From January 27 to 28, 2018, a highly distinctive ice lake camping festival—the First Green Field Network Ice Canoe Camping Festival—was successfully held at Longqingxia Reservoir in temperatures as low as minus 20°C. It served as an ultimate test of participants' physical strength, willpower, and outdoor gear. Nearly 40 participants attended, making it the largest recorded winter camping event in Beijing under such extreme low temperatures.

As there were many routes to the campsite, no unified assembly time or location was set—participants just needed to arrive at the campsite on the 27th.

Everyone gathered around to take photos
In the evening, everyone began preparing dinner—no matter how cold, they wouldn’t let their stomachs go unspoiled
After dinner, the campsite lit up with colorful lights. People started bonfires on the ice, chatting, taking photos, and showing off in all sorts of ways. You’d never imagine this was taking place in sub-minus ten degrees Celsius. At night, when everyone went into their tents to sleep, the silence was broken by the loud cracking sounds from deep within the ice layers beneath them—no less startling than New Year’s firecrackers. Truly thrilling.
On the second day, after lunch, everyone broke camp and walked forward along the frozen lake

This event received strong support from JD.com, NITECORE lighting, and Lingluzhe outdoor tents. Our heartfelt thanks go out to them.
