Press Conference Held in Beijing
On the afternoon of April 3, the press conference for the 15th China Dongchuan International Mudflow Off-Road Car Rally and the 2018 China Off-Road Championship Dongchuan Round was grandly held in Beijing. Yan Jing, Deputy District Chief of Dongchuan District, Kunming City; Lu Mingyao, Director of the News Committee of the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China; Kou Xiaoming, Competition Supervisor of the Federation of Automobile Sports of China; Lu Ningjun, Director of the Jiangxi Isuzu Racing Team and known as the "King of Chinese Motorsports"; and Li Pengcheng, a renowned Chinese racing driver, attended the conference and were interviewed. They shared their insights on participating in the event and helped build excitement for the official race scheduled from April 29 to May 3.

It is understood that the 2018 China Dongchuan International Mudflow Off-Road Car Rally will further innovate the racing format on the basis of traditional events, integrating new opportunities for cultural, sports, and tourism development. Leveraging the influence and organizational experience of the mudflow car rally, it aims to drive the development of a series of races in other parts of the province and city, making the competition longer in duration, broader in participation, and richer in scenic showcases. The event, initially localized to Dongchuan, is set to gradually expand into a province-wide series, even reaching out to Southeast Asia. The ultimate goal is to create a national motorsports landscape where “the South has Dongchuan, and the North has the China Circuit.”
