Little Jasmine next to Tainan Park: A chicken thigh burger with unique flavors!

One evening when S’s family had dinner at Mandala for Italian pasta, we discovered this shop. A few days later in the morning, I came here with my little one for breakfast. The first experience was good, so I decided to visit a few more times before writing a proper review.

I usually enter through the alley on Dongning Road to buy from here because when the weather is nice in the morning, there are beautiful light and shadows here.

Walk a bit further and you’ll see Little Jasmine next to the park.

The shop isn’t very big, with only one set of table and chairs. Most customers take their food to go. Sometimes, I buy breakfast and then walk over to the park next door to enjoy it leisurely. It’s quite convenient to have a shop right next to a park.

Regular menu items

The handmade meat patties in the burgers are a far cry from the mystery meat mixtures found in chain breakfast shops.

The pickles, onions, and other toppings inside also give it great flavor. The only downside might be that the burger buns can’t quite keep up with the quality of the meat and toppings.

The chicken thigh burger is also one of my favorite items.

The bacon and egg toast is rather average, probably mainly because of the bacon. I prefer the unique flavors of the chicken thigh and handmade patties.

I’ve tried both sweet and savory paninis. The toast is a bit too dry and hard, but the portions are generous and the taste is pleasant.

The caramelized bread slice actually tastes pretty good, not too… powdery.

I think Little Jasmine’s breakfast stands out in terms of meat quality compared to most breakfast shops. It’s just a pity that the bread doesn’t match the high standard of the meat. If the bread could be improved to the same level as the meat, then Little Jasmine could easily become a breakfast spot with long lines. After all, they open early, parking is convenient, and there’s a park right next door where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast. It has the perfect combination of timing, location, and convenience. If you have time in the morning, you can bring your own coffee and enjoy breakfast in the park next door—it feels super relaxing.
