— Mithril chainmail armor!

The legendary fabric — Kevlar!!!

Kevlar (also known as Kevlar or Kevlar), is an aromatic polyamide synthetic fiber introduced by DuPont in the United States in 1965. It boasts excellent thermal stability, fire resistance, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, insulation, and high strength-to-weight ratio. Kevlar is 2 to 11 times stronger than asbestos; 1.6 times stronger than high-strength graphite, and 3 times stronger than fiberglass.

Kevlar has outstanding tensile strength — five times stronger than steel of the same weight, yet only one-fifth the density (Kevlar has a density of 1.44 grams per cubic centimeter; steel has a density of 7.859 grams per cubic centimeter); thus, it is widely used in making bulletproof vests, boat hulls, airplanes, bicycle tires, military helmets, and more.
