On July 23, Huayi Brothers Film World, located in the Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort in Suzhou, will grandly open its doors to welcome its first batch of visitors. As the flagship project of Huayi Brothers' live-action entertainment, Suzhou Film World will launch early-bird tickets during its first month of operation. Originally priced at 278 yuan, visitors can pay just 218 yuan during the summer vacation to travel through 1,300 years of history. From 9 AM to 10 PM, they can fully immerse themselves in the magic of real-life movie settings and truly step into the world of cinema.

Huayi Brothers has created a real-world movie universe by leveraging its own film intellectual properties and collaborating with top domestic and international movie art design teams. Suzhou Film World features five major themed areas: "Star Avenue," "If You Are the One," "Assembly," "Tai Chi," and "The Empire of Heaven," as well as the family-friendly "Yangcheng Baby Land." The Tai Chi area ingeniously showcases a distinctive late Qing Dynasty ambiance through the intense collision of Tai Chi martial arts and steampunk aesthetics. It fully presents the story of the “martial arts oddball” Yang Luchan—who rose from obscurity to become a grandmaster and saved Chenjiagou from foreign invaders. Among its highlights is the outdoor studio live-action show “The Oddball’s Heavenly Challenge,” a unique live movie set show within the Film World. Explosions, flash floods, and 4D aerial wire stunts immerse visitors deep into the cinematic experience.
The Empire of Heaven Area
Based on the IP of director Tsui Hark’s Detective Dee film series, The Empire of Heaven area features the 75-meter-tall Empire Pagoda. Alongside its spectacular presence, the area also includes attractions and architectural sights such as the Ten Thousand Forms Divine Palace and the Underground Ghost Market. In the bustling Tang Dynasty market, Detective Dee’s imperial weapon, the Kanglong Jue, is transformed into one of the park’s most thrilling rides—the Drop Tower. One of the four main shows in the Film World, “The Shocking Mystery Case,” not only creates movie-quality sets and a twisting, mysterious plot, but also offers a uniquely innovative stage design that combines multimedia art and live performances for a spectacular visual experience.
Within the five themed areas, there are multiple movie-themed restaurants that let your taste buds travel through 1,300 years.
