The “Wonderland of Imagination” wedding banquet design release ceremony was held on the beach of Raffles Hotel Sanya and executed by Guangzhou-based Silver Jubilee Weddings. The theme drew inspiration from 1980s steampunk, using exaggerated techniques to express magical colors and whimsical ideas, creating an imaginative and ideal world for the couple on their wedding day—an epic love utopia brought to life through extraordinary imagination. Another source of inspiration came from the unknown realms in fairy tales. The creative team extracted the concept of “untold stories / endless stories” to symbolize how every wedding tells a unique story belonging to the couple, which is the very soul of customized weddings.
This creative concept chose the beach of Clearwater Bay as the venue, making full use of the vast space where the beach, sea, and sky converge. Steam-powered flying devices were used as the central design elements, and through massive structural installations and clustered spatial designs, the event offered guests an immersive experience. Clearwater Bay is renowned for its fine white sandy beaches. Qinhuai Charm Displayed in the Raffles Ballroom
Another wedding banquet design release ceremony, themed “Origin,” was held in the Raffles Ballroom and executed by Nanjing-based Weiran Weddings. This design theme drew inspiration from the Qinhuai Lantern Festival and the golden spiral. Traditional Chinese culture and Nanjing folk elements were interwoven throughout the scene design. Based on the festive occasion of family reunion—the Qinhuai Lantern Festival—square frames of varying heights represented small bridges in Nanjing, with sheer drapes serving as the bridge. Through the host’s recitation of Song dynasty poetry and scenes of children holding rabbit lanterns, guests could feel the lingering smoke rising from the banks of the Qinhuai River in Nanjing and grasp the deeper meaning of the word “Origin”—one plus one, the essence of life, love, and marriage. The union of two people marks the transition from individual to family, conveying the idea that the origin of happiness in family and life lies in togetherness.
